To prevent over production and waste, collecting presale orders before or at the beginning of manufacturing provides us with information to more effectively predict the needs of our customers. Knowing more about how much our clients want of each style and each fabric will help us avoid material waste. About the material: Space Wool (100% wool)
A lightweight wool weave, affectionately named “Space” by one of our Italian mills, features a level of multi-directional stretch typically only found in elastic synthetic blended fibers. Our mill won’t want us to reveal too much about their process, but in short: the combination of fine wool fibers and weave structure, are mechanically stretched and relaxed, leaving the wool extra pliable without sacrificing any natural quality and feel.
Other materials: Bemberg (100% Cupro)
Our garments contain cupro lining, commonly known by the brand name “Bemberg”, a natural synthetic. While other synthetics may be manufactured using petroleum byproduct fibers, cupro is a sustainable alternative made from cottonseed oil. This biodegradable silk substitute makes for the perfect lining material.
Other materials: Cotton Plain Weave (100% cotton)
Our garments contain plain woven cotton in use as pocket bags, seam finishings, and when extra durability is needed, as a lining.
